BillEase

Although electronic payment penetration in the Philippines has reached 51%, a large market gap remains between traditional banking services and the fast-growing digital economy. As the country's leading Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) service provider, BillEase has successfully bridged this gap. Since its launch in 2017, it has accumulated over 800,000 users, unlocking the purchasing potential of emerging consumer groups through its unique instalment payment model.

The core advantage of BillEase lies in its exceptional accessibility and flexible repayment ecosystem. Consumers without credit cards can quickly obtain a credit line and enjoy instalment payment services simply by submitting basic information via their mobile phones. With single-transaction limits ranging from PHP 50 to PHP 100,000, BillEase supports diverse payment scenarios from daily purchases to high-value consumption.

More importantly, BillEase has established a deeply localised hybrid repayment network across the Philippines. In addition to digital repayment channels such as InstaPay and PESONet, users can also make cash repayments at more than 22,000 offline locations nationwide, including 7-Eleven, Cebuana, and M Lhuillier outlets. This "buy online + repay offline" model opens up a pathway for merchants to reach a broader customer base.

For merchants, integrating BillEase presents new opportunities. By offering the BNPL option, they can cater to consumer groups with demand for high-value consumption but limited purchasing power, significantly improving conversion. By integrating BillEase through Antom, merchants will be able to precisely seize growth opportunities driven by payment innovation in the e-commerce market with a compound annual growth rate of 19%.

FAQ

Do merchants need to bear the risk of overdue payments or defaults for consumers using BillEase?

No. BillEase is a BNPL service, and its terms clearly state that chargebacks are not applicable. This means BillEase is fully responsible for risk management, including credit assessment, fund disbursement, and overdue payment collection. Merchants usually receive payment within 4 days after the transaction date, so they do not directly bear the consumer credit risk.

BillEase is designed to provide convenient payment options for consumers with small to large spending needs but limited purchasing power. It supports single transactions ranging from PHP 50 to PHP 100,000, making it suitable across industries including e-commerce, digital entertainment, food delivery, ride-hailing, and travel. By offering instalment payment services, BillEase primarily serves consumers who have no access to online banking or credit card payments.

What repayment methods are available to users after integrating BillEase?

According to available information, BillEase provides users with highly flexible repayment options. Users can repay via online transfers through InstaPay and PESONet, as well as through other e-wallets or bank transfers. In addition, they can make cash repayments at over 22,000 offline locations nationwide, including 7-Eleven, Cebuana, and M Lhuillier outlets. This diversified repayment network is one of BillEase's key strengths in enhancing the overall user experience.
